Dear Friends, Family, Colleagues and Members of the Community,

Moms In Motion and Tendertales, disability services providers, are joining forces as "Community Knections" to meet unmet needs in the community.

Our second project is "Get The Panther On the Prowl." We have met an elderly man, Mr. Panther, who lives in a family owned trailer in Virginia. This gentleman has been on our minds since we met him over 1 year ago. He suffers from multiple catastrophic health issues and is practically confined to the home as he requires a wheelchair for mobility and his trailer is about 4 steps above ground level. When visualizing his family getting him down those stairs for doctor visits and outings, we cringe. We reached out to all of the government agencies we could think of to help fund a ramp for him and have gotten no results.

We are asking the community to contribute to this cause. We've been given an estimate of $1,600 by McInturff Construction Co, a professional organization experienced building ramps. This is a very low cost as the owner, Mr. MacInturff, has reduced their usual labor costs and will provide the materials necessary at cost.
